Mindfulness-Based Counselling in Copenhagen

What is Mindfulness-based Therapy?

Mindfulness-based therapy is a therapeutic approach that incorporates mindfulness techniques and practices with other therapeutic techniques to help individuals manage address whatever it is they came to therapy for. Mindfulness focuses on cultivating present-moment awareness of one’s thoughts, emotions, behaviours and physical experience.

This can be does through practices like: breath work, visualisations, body scanning, meditation, environment scanning, movement and tapping.

How will mindfulness based therapy help my mental health?

Using mindfulness in therapy focuses on helping individuals cultivate awareness of their experience. This is achieved supporting the individual to bring their attention too and become aware their environment, physical sensations, emotional experience and thoughts, without judgement.

The practice of becoming fully present in the moment without judgement helps individuals become aware of their nervous system, cognition and body. This awareness can assist individuals in actively listening to their emotional needs and taking the necessary steps to meet them.

Our Perspective

At Hue, we use an integrate and person-centred approach to psychotherapy. Therefore, we will integrate mindfulness-based techniques if found suitable and beneficial for the individual’s needs. However, we often find that utilises these techniques is some way throughout the session can often have a regulatory effect on the individual’s nervous system.

MEET KERIME

Your Mindfulness Support Therapist

We believe that no two people see life through the same lens. Our individual experiences are the shades that colour our humanity and inform the inner workings of our minds.

That’s why at Hue, we honour each individual’s unique values, beliefs and experiences to create a compassionate space where a person’s internal processes are seen, heard, and acknowledged.
